Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Tutors4Tutees platform (the "Platform") at portal.tutors4tutees.com, operated by Henry Walden, trading as Tutors4Tutees, a sole trader operating from the United Kingdom (postal address available on request via the support email below).

By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Platform.

1. Who can use the Platform

The Platform is invite-only. Parents and tutors join by application or invitation. We may decline an application without giving a reason. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account; children participate only through their parent or guardian.

2. Your account

• Keep your login credentials confidential and don't share them.
• You're responsible for activity on your account.
• Notify us immediately at henry@tutors4tutees.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Tutoring services

Tutoring sessions are arranged through the Platform but delivered directly between tutors and students. We are the booking, payment and record-keeping layer; we are not party to the teaching contract. We make no warranty about the outcomes of tutoring.

4. Payment

• Parents pay for sessions in advance via Stripe checkout. All prices are in GBP and include any applicable taxes.
• Tutors are paid monthly for confirmed sessions delivered. We rely on tutors recording sessions and parents confirming them.
• Refunds for cancelled sessions follow the cancellation policy provided to you on booking.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for anything unlawful or harmful
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems
• Scrape, copy or redistribute Platform content without permission
• Submit false information when applying or booking
• Circumvent our payment system (e.g. arranging paid lessons off-platform with tutors you met here)

6. Intellectual property

Content you upload (your profile, lesson notes, messages) remains yours; you grant us a licence to host and display it as part of running the Platform. The Platform's look, code and our branding remain ours.

7. Our liability

We provide the Platform "as is." To the extent permitted by law we exclude warranties and our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. None of these exclusions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or otherwise creates risk for users or the business. Sections that by nature outlast termination (e.g. liability, intellectual property) continue to apply.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email and posted at the top of this page ("Last updated"). Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers may bring proceedings in their place of habitual residence.
